There are many restaurants along Marine Drive, whether you want to dine in or grab fish and chips to go and have a picnic on the beach (beware of the seagulls who will try to steal your food!). My first job when I was 15 was working at a fish and chips restaurant. It was a family owned place called Montgomery's and it is still there today and has delicious food with their famous homemade tartar sauce!

Crescent beach is a beachside community located in South Surrey that is great for oceanfront walking. The area isn’t overdeveloped and that is its charm. It’s a great place to grab a coffee and enjoy a stroll. It is pet friendly and they even have an area at one end specifically for dogs where they can go in the water!

Parks/trails: 1001 Steps; the first half of the famous 1001 steps is a stairway down the steep forest hillside to the beach. The trail then skirts beside the railway for the second half before ending at a railway underpass giving you access to the shore. Sunnyside Acres Urban Forest Park, a 321 acre wooded city park with a 2.5 mile footpath & resident coyote and black tailed deer.

Grandview Aquatic Center is your one stop destination for lane swimming, public swimming, leisure swimming and the facility also includes a weight room, cafe, outdoor deck and picnic area.

The shops at Morgan Crossing and Grandview corners and many restaurants like Liberty Kitchen, Afghan Kitchen, and My Shanti where you often see Vikram Vij chatting with customers. There are lots of chain restaurants as well; Earls, Sammy J’s, The Keg, Milestones, Browns Social House.
